The object that I have chosen is a remote control. Actually it was a big invention after the invention of the television. People want to lay on their sofas and watch TV while relaxing. Changing a channel was the most difficult action for a person who was laying down a remote control was the resolution of this problem. A remote control is a really useful device which is portable and durable.

First I will talk about the factors that producers consider such as the material. It’s made of plastic which makes it less heavier. Plastic is a material used often nowadays. It’s cheap and also hardly breakable unless there is a strong force on it. The greatest problem of this material is the bad effect on health. Plastic is common used material and considered as a danger for humanity. A product of petrolium is dangerous for people. This material is easy to produce and manufacture. This cheap material makes this device cheaper. When we buy a new TV and open the box we expect to find a remote in the box. It became the main component of a TV. It’s practical and easy to learn because the producer symbolizes the function of the buttons by numbers or small symbols. To use a remote control all we need is to look on it. We will find all instructions on in. Also the visual is important. Maybe to use buttons with different colors and different shapes will draw attention.

Now I will talk about my remote control which I use every day in my room. First of all the shape of it is really useful. It has a curvy shape which makes it easier to hold. It has a medium size so it fits in our hand. It is black which matches with the color of the TV. The wireless connection is strong so we can still use it from long distance. It works with two batteries and we can use it for a longtime without changing the batteries. It is durable because it doesn’t break easily.

After all this, this device has a default for me. The organization of buttons isn’t the way that I am used to. Generally the middle of the remote control there are buttons situated like circle. Normally right and left buttons control channels, up and down buttons control the volume. But in this remote buttons up and down do not change the volume. They only help to control the menu. Volume buttons are situated in a different place so every time I search for volume buttons. I said the shape was a good detail but also it confuses because in dark I can’t find the right position. What I meant to say is the shape is ellipse so it’s hard to find the front and the back of the remote control. We have to hold the remote in a right way because of the wireless connection.

This great invention of course has some defaults but we still glad to have it.
